All you VW classic car and VW camper van lovers should get them on the road this coming Sunday and drive to Tatton Park that is only a few miles from Manchester Airport.
The majestic stately home is set in beautiful Cheshire countryside and will provide the most wonderful backdrop for, what will no doubt be, a fantastic classic car event.
This is a one-day only event taking place on 5 August with doors opening at 9am – so get there as early as you can.
It is the 27th annual VWNW show that has built a tremendous gathering of VW enthusiasts over the years becoming the largest bringing together of VWs in one place within the North of England.
On display will be classic VW Beetle’s together with a range of VW Camper Vans covering custom built to the more traditional together with quite modern versions.
To help raise funds for Manchester Children’s Hospital there will be beach buggies on display this year.
There will be a “cars for sale” section, numerous trade stands and an auto jumble.
The kids will love the funfair as well as a number of other attractions and you can also enjoy the tranquillity of 100’s of acres at Tatton Park. Why not take a picnic which you can enjoy watching the deer graze.
The cost of entry to the VWNW show is £7.50 but separate charges apply to Tatton Park. Children who are under 14 are admitted free to the VWNW show.
Let’s hope the weather is kind on Sunday so that those of you that can do so are able to get those tops down on your VW Beetle.
No doubt some people will be making a weekend of it and spending a night or two in their camper vans.
Enjoy the day.
