Of course, it is all a matter of opinion and, if you are a lover of classic cars, you will no doubt have your view on which you think could be the classic cars of the future. For every car mentioned here, there are sure to be a couple more that others may feel are more likely to be future classic cars.
Mini Cooper
Yes, the Mini in various forms is already a classic model but the manufacturer seems to be regularly bringing out new versions so it may be that we will continue to see some of the range joining the ranks of vintage car models. The difficulty is in deciding which one to choose and there is a lot to be said with “going with your heart” – as well as your pocket!
Mazda MX-5
These really are beautiful looking sports cars that can be picked up for a few thousand pounds. Not only are they great fun to drive but they also perform well and they may well not only hold their price but, hopefully, over a period of time, as long as they have been well maintained, will increase in value making all that work you may be involved in keeping it in “ship shape” worthwhile.
Audi TT
Yes, another sports car but you may well have noticed that there would appear to be more and more of these nippy motors being kept on our roads that are getting older. This has to say something about their attraction to the classic car enthusiast. The hard top version in particular seems to be particularly popular perhaps because it can be driven 365 days a year in comfort and, let’s not forget, it is easy to park so can be used for daily commuting.
As we have said, you will no doubt have your own thoughts but hopefully the above will encourage people to add their comments.
