If you are a fan of classic cars then why not visit The London Classic Car Show that takes place at the Excel London between the 15th to 18 February 2018. It is renowned as a fantastic event for those interested in vintage vehicles. It is even possible to watch some of the cars being driven indoors.
There are so many exciting things to do such as view a number of Getaway Cars that have been used in films and in real life robberies by thieves to quickly escape from the scene of the crime. It is being hosted by Philip Glenister who you may remember appeared as DCI Gene Hunt in Ashes to Ashes.
This year, Grand Avenue will enable you to view numerous “Specials” including the likes of an Aston Martin DB4, Ferrari 246 F1, 1938 Alvis 4.3 SWB VDP Tourer, Steady Special, Ford Escort 2000E, Triumph Dolomoite 6, Austin 7 Ulster, Frontline MGB, Eagle Speedster and many, many more.
If you are a racing fan then you may wish to attend the show on the 18th February as you may get the opportunity to see Nigel Mansell CBE as he has been awarded the Icon Award. This is to celebrate the fact that it is 25 years ago that he won the FIA Formula One World Championship back in 1992. A number of the cars that he drove in Formula One will be on display.
You may wish to get along to Quentin Willson’s Smart Buys where he will have on show a number of classic cars that are in his opinion worth owning. He is a renowned motoring presenter having appeared in a number of programs including The Classic Car Show on Channel 5.
In Car Club Square you will have the opportunity to visit the stands of many different car clubs including Aton Martin Owners Club, Bristol Owners Club, Jaguar Enthusiasts Club, Rover SDI Club, Jensen Owners Club, Lamborghini Club UK, Mustang Owners Club of Great Britain and the MG Owners Club to name but a few.
