Charterhouse Auctioneers is to hold an auction of classic cars on the 11th April 2021 at Haynes International Motor Museum and Online with viewing being available on the 10th April 2021 from 9am to 4pm at which a number of vehicles will hopefully be offered for sale including a classic 1960 MG A Roadster sports car that was actually found in a garage in Dorset whilst dealing with an estate.
This classic MG A Roadster is believed to have been subject to some form of restoration work in the 1980s. However, it has been partially dismantled so it may well appeal to someone who likes the idea of restoring classic cars. It has an estimated sale price of between £8,000 to £12,000. Its bodywork is in Iris Blue. Apparently, there are also a number of spare parts for the car so this will no doubt be of use to the person carrying out the restoration work.
Once someone takes the time to restore this classic sports car it will hopefully take to the open road. If you are someone who likes such a challenge, enjoys the prospect of putting the soft topped roof down on a warm summer’s day and driving along with the wind flowing through your hair then this may be the classic car for you.
You will need to make sure that it is suitably insured. Initially, while it is being restored, you may feel you only need Laid Up cover. This type of insurance provides protection in the event of your classic car being stolen or someone attempting to steal it from a locked garage, malicious or accidental damage and explosion, lightning and fire. Once you have completed the restoration of your vehicle you will no doubt wish to upgrade the cover so that you are also insured for taking it out on the road where, if it is stolen or you are involved in a road traffic accident, you are covered. In this respect, why not get in touch with us to obtain a no-obligation quotation. We look forward to being of assistance.
