If you are a fan of classic cars you will know that one of the most prestigious manufacturers of cars is Ferrari and when one of their vintage vehicles comes up for sale it is likely to attract a great deal of interest and a huge price. So, you may find it interesting to read that RM Sotheby’s Monterey auction of some classic cars is to take place on the 16th and 17th August 2024 at which there are a number of Ferraris being offered for sale.
However, there is one particular Ferrari that may attract more attention than any other at the sale and it is a 1960 Ferrari 250 GT SWB California Spider by Scaglietti. The reason why it should attract a great deal of attention is that it is the very first of this model of this brand of beautiful car that came off the production line. It has an estimated sale price of $16,000,000 to $18,000,000 so you will need to have a substantial bank balance to be able to afford it. Another interesting thing about it is that at the 1960 Geneva Motor Show is was the manufacturer’s factory show car. It comes with its original colour scheme. It has had 5 owners.
If that is a little too expensive for you then how about casting your eyes over a 1960 Ferrari 400 Superamerica SWB Cabriolet by Pinin Farina. This comes with an estimated sale price of between $6,000,000 to $7,000,000. It has been completely restored to councours standard and perhaps needless to say it is said to be in excellent condition.
If the last one mentioned above was still too costly then what about perusing a 1969 Ferrari 365 GTS by Pininfarina. This delightful looking classic open-topped sports car has an estimated sale price of $2,800,000 to $3,200,000. It was the 6th of only 20 of these vehicles built so is rather rare.
